Jules Verne is one of the most famous French writers, the author of many adventure novels. His works often feature bright heroes who go on exciting journeys and undergo trials. Among them there are characters who have become real legends and symbols of adventure. John Mangles is one of my favorite Jules Verne heroes. Young and energetic, strong and strong-willed, he deserves admiration. Let's remember the storm in the Pacific Ocean. John Mangles showed his best qualities: determination, intelligence. At the very last minute, which could have been the end of the lives of Lord and Lady Glenarvan, Mary and Robert Grant, Major McNabb’s, the incomparable Jacques Eliasen Francois Marie Paganel and many sailors and employees, at that moment he remembered the means of salvation: “Fat! Drag, guys, fat!" And, most importantly, his beloved girl, Mary, was saved. And even then, in a terrible moment, he thought about her. And it couldn't be otherwise. When the heroes were captured by the natives, John acted as if nothing was wrong. But everyone knew that this was the end, but no one gave it away. But why did I choose John Mangles? Yes, because he is the embodiment of the standard of a man - at the same time a beautiful, gentle, serious, extraordinary person. I'm glad that both he and his Mary are happy in the end.
